Some Cool Graphs

If you are interested in economics and like looking at graphs, then you'll love this page at the Mises Institute web site.

The page is full of various graphs, roughly divided into the following categories: Current prices, monetary trends, interest rates, macrotrends, and federal budget.

If you feel overwhelmed by the sheer number of graphs or don't know what most of them represent, never fear. In December '08 Jeffrey Tucker interviewed Mark Thornton, senior fellow at the Mises Institute, to walk through the page and explain what each of the graphs means. Along the way, Thornton also provided commentary on how some of the graphs relate to the current financial meltdown as well as previous recessions. It's quite educational.
